Responsibilities This is a Strategic Planning Specialist within the unit and is a critical team member working with the Executive Leadership of the Academic Medical Center (AMC), School of Medicine, School of Nursing, Department Chairs, and the leadership of multi-disciplinary segments/programs and other operating units to develop and implement their operating and business plans and annual priorities consistent with the enterprise strategic plan. This position's portfolio will include complex and sensitive assignments. This position remains abreast of developments of the health care industry, market trends, and other industry changes that impact strategies and advises appropriate changes. This position reports to the Executive Director, Strategic Planning. Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university
Minimum of 5 years of strategic planning, project management or consulting in business environments
Experience building coalitions and consulting with, coaching, facilitating, and influencing people at all levels, including managers and senior leaders across diverse stakeholder groups
Strategic thinking skills; demonstrates sound judgment, ability to draw unbiased conclusions that focus on organizational priorities, strategies and vision
Strong verbal, written communications and presentation skills to interpret and communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner
Microsoft Office Suite: Visio, Project, Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills.
Experience in an academic and/or health care environment
Knowledge of organizational development and strategic planning theories and demonstrable application of same
Experience working with moderately complex issues or problems which require analysis of unique issues/problems without precedent and/or structure
Experience independently analyzing complex data and situations to identify problems and relevant factors; formulating logical conclusions and providing a sound basis for establishing priorities and selecting appropriate courses of action
Demonstrated experience using proven methodologies to develop and implement change management plans in complex organizations
Teambuilding, interpersonal and conflict management skills to interact effectively with all levels of the organization from a wide variety of functional areas, backgrounds and organizational levels, including executive management
