As a result of the reorganisation within the Technology & Operations Group last year, the Innovation team had the opportunity to revisit the way we deliver innovation for Fidelity. The team aims to provide a unique opportunity to take on an entrepreneurial challenge and focus on creating clear impact on the business.
The Innovation team is part of the Global Digital Experience team. Our team offers services, expertise, tools, standards and frameworks to help the organisation deliver the new way of thinking. To deliver this, we closely work with senior stakeholders and the wider organisation to find creative ways to solve business problems, from fixing the basics of such as things as operational risk mitigation or digital experience to working on some transformational projects such as Assets Management as a Service.
Purpose of the Role
You will work alongside the Validation & Prototyping Lead in supporting the innovation activities across the three business channels: Workplace & Personal Financial Health, Investments Services & Solutions, and Enablement Functions.
You are expected to provide channel-specific insights into the incubation cycles; that is: understanding how a project relates to Fidelity's offering today and gathering information to form a gap analysis (if applicable). Additionally, you will support the further articulation and scoping of the hypotheses generated by the research team, working with the wider team to build out experiments and creating success criteria.
Visual design lead for the innovation function
Work with Validation & Prototyping team to further scope hypotheses, develop customer tests, plan and validate experiences for new business opportunities - and articulate how and when visual design will be incorporated
Accountable for the creation of any digital and visual branding / collateral required to support the rapid validation of new customer propositions
Experience and Qualifications Required
Demonstrable experience designing and solving complex UI problems
Experience designing responsive websites
Experience designing across branding, covering digital and physical touch points
Ability to explain your approach and show how you made design decisions
Prototyping and design skills using industry standard tools (Sketch, InVision, Adobe creative suite, Axure)
Experience working with design systems.
Experience deploying digital best practices for digital based solutions, continuous optimisation
Stakeholder and influencing skills, including communication, negotiation of deadlines and requirements, management of expectation, recommendations, quality of outputs etc.
Demonstrable experience working to conceptual briefs provided by an internal or external stakeholders and clients
Relationship management experience
Desirable but not essential skills: Gesture based UX design, Native Apps (Android/iOS), Voice UI, HTMl/CSS/JS, conversational designing
Some experience covering presentational and editorial design materials across print and digital
Desirable: The ability produce bespoke illustrations in a range of styles
Demonstrable experience of designing and solving complex UX problems
Ability to explain your approach and show how you made UX design decisions
