The Financial Analyst is responsible for the design, development and maintenance of reporting systems for ASC and freestanding imaging business operations and internal management of Accounts Receivable. This individual functions as an internal consultant to the management of the department that includes all business lines of ASC and Imaging Operations.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Coordinates informational reports and their relation to various trends associated with charge capture, reimbursements and aging of Accounts Receivable
Prepares and analyzes various financial key reports, providing detailed summaries and actions plans for the management team
Researches and writes presentations and reports
Manages special projects as assigned by the Executive Director of ASC Operations
Prepares ROIs for capital equipment, new or existing procedures or surgeries and specific service line requests
Prepares project reports for management, client, or others
Confers with ASC and Imaging staff to provide technical advice and resolve problems
Reviews various key reports generated from Epic, HST, Vision and other surgery center and imaging center systems to develop standardized reports for management
Researches benchmarking data to evaluate current processes as they are related to operations
Owns and updates ASC and Imaging Center dashboards
Develops standardized communication tools to alert management of various trends impacting operations
Prepares forecasts based on current reimbursement trends and information gathered from external sources
Builds Excel templates for reporting information
Creates daily reports to monitor monetary progress for all centers
Develops greater reporting capabilities via the systems used in conjunction with other managers and outside vendors
Creates monthly report packages to distribute to the various of ASC and Imaging services.
Serves as the project manager in the preparation of the annual budget emphasizing the impact to it relative to reimbursement trends
When appropriate, meets with various members of the ASCs, imaging centers and physician members to educate them on changing revenue cycle trends
Monitors aging and communicate information to appropriate management
Randomly monitors various charges, reimbursement and aging in order to communicate the changes in the reimbursement environment
When appropriate, meets with various members of administration and physician groups to educate them on changing reimbursements
