The Financial Services vertical market has been a key growth driver for BIS in the last several years and is BIS’ largest single vertical market. Because of the synergies with our consumer business, BIS has a particularly strong brand presence in this vertical compared to other commercial vertical markets. Our participation as a certified vendor of the Small Business Financial Exchange (SBFE) data consortium has complemented our existing data sets and provides a way to also grow our reach and awareness across many markets. With the SBFE Non-Exchange Participant (NEP) program, we can leverage this dataset, our derivative data analytics, and our analytics platforms into market segments such as trade credit, utilities and telecom, and potentially insurance.
The BIS SBFE Sales Consultant will work closely with the BIS sales and data sciences teams on client engagements that drive rapid adoption of SBFE-enabled products and services. Working in coordination with a data consultant, the sales consultant will take the lead role in articulating the client’s perspectives and challenges, consult on industry trends and how our products and services can meet these evolving client and market needs. This will include identifying “proof of value” and “fit for purpose” opportunities to demonstrate BIS capabilities in enabling client success.
Leverage your consulting expertise to provide informed guidance on how BIS product and services optimize SBFE data in overcoming their strategic challenges
Maintain expert knowledge about Experian’s products and services as they evolve.
Maintain knowledge around overall industry trends and operations to better guild client objectives
Understand the specific needs of clients and prospects, and craft solutions customized to their needs
Be a conduit for market intelligence and product enhancements to the product marketing and product management organizations
Enable and accelerate the roll-out of new products and features within our sales force and markets
Identify opportunities for additional consulting and professional services
Minimum ten (10) years consulting experience with a specific expertise in small business lending
Deep understanding of the issues/complexities of delivering decision support, analytics and data integration solutions to help solve market problems
Ability to work with clients to identify specific problems, document solution requirements, and deliver a well-constructed statement of work
Experience in working with a team of Product Managers, Data Scientists and Developers to produce deliverables customized to address client specific needs where required
Insight to quickly assess strategic and potential product opportunities based on possibly small samplings of information
Demonstrated project management, organizational, customer-facing, problem solving, analytical, verbal and written communications skills
