EyePoint Pharmaceuticals is looking for outstanding talent to join our team! We have an exciting opportunity for a someone to support the launch of several ophthalmology products in a fast-paced and growing organization. In this position, you will be the primary data analyst for the company and will have significant impact on the buildout of our inhouse data infrastructure as well as direct, hands on management of multiple 3rd party data reporting systems. Also, you will have the opportunity to continue to build the business insights and analytics capabilities gaining tremendous exposure to the many analytical touch points within a pharmaceutical business.
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
This person enables commercial decision making by analyzing market, customer, product, revenue, territory and sales execution metrics and providing insights that inform brand planning.
Support the development, distribution and maintenance of standard set of Brand Performance Reports and Dashboards using appropriate reporting, visualization and data automation tools.
Automate reports and build interactive dashboards
Interpret business activity data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports
Perform ad-hoc data investigation & queries to address an immediate business question and report data via cross-tabs, pivot tables, charts, basic statistics, distributions & correlations.
Actively participate and influence continuous improvements to Company’s Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence solutions with a strong motive for eliminating manual data extraction and processing.
Primary skills and knowledge required include, but are not limited to the following:
Expert Tableau user/developer
Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques
Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
Able to point to demonstrated success in analyzing data, spotting trends and providing insights to management.
Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical data sources and their application to support business decisions including DRG and Symphony
Experience utilizing limited/ sub-optimal data to gain insights in specialty pharmaceutical products or orphan/ rare diseases
Ability to combine primary data sources and secondary market research insights to support sales and marketing strategies and forecasting
Knowledge of pharmaceutical field force designs, territory alignments, and resource allocation effectiveness
Excellent project management skills.
Experience supporting Commercial Teams, either in data analytics, sales operations or financial analyst role.
Experience with Buy-and-Bill products and/or familiarity with ophthalmic Pharmaceutical products is preferred but not essential
Familiarity with using data from Veeva, 3PL and HUB vendors
Level of Education Required:
Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, information technology, or related field.
Number of Years of Experience in the Function and in the Industry:
At least 5 years experience as a data analyst / business data analyst or relevant role in a Pharmaceutical, corporate or consulting environment
