PhD in health care management or a closely related field (information systems, business administration, marketing, etc). Candidates who are ABD will be considered, but the position requires completion of all doctoral requirements by the date of the appointment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Primary instructional duties may include introduction to healthcare systems, leadership, quality management, operations, project management, and/or data management at the undergraduate or graduate levels.
Faculty members are expected to maintain an active program of scholarship as well as participate in service activities at the program, department, college, university, profession, and community levels.
Responsibilities also include advising, coaching, and mentoring students.
Ability and willingness to teach online courses.
The department invites applications for one to two faculty positions in health care management with areas of expertise in healthcare information systems, leadership, marketing, or quality management.
Applicants with teaching and professional experience who can facilitate students' application of principles and concepts in health care scenarios will be given strong consideration. Applicants with health care industry or other relevant experience will receive special consideration.
The successful applicant will have a focus on teaching excellence in both the traditional face-to-face and online environments.
Special consideration will be given to candidates who have experience working with students from diverse backgrounds and have a demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion to improve access to higher education for under-represented groups.
