The Project Coordinator will join a team to support a new grant-funded project related to COVID-19 mitigation, prevention, and control measures among at-risk refugees, immigrants, and migrants (RIM). The project will support state and local health departments, community-based organizations, and other stakeholders engaged in COVID response among RIM communities. Overall project deliverables include the creation and dissemination of resources such as best practices, health communications and health education, training materials, and pilot projects. The Project Coordinator will support overall implementation of the project, particularly qualitative data collection through multiple approaches.
This is a temporary, 100% grant-funded position for up to 18 months.
Project Coordination and Implementation (60%)
• Coordinates qualitative data collection activities, including telephone interviews and electronic surveys with a variety of participants, including public health professionals, health providers, and community members • Serves as the primary project liaison with the University of Minnesota IRB and submits updates to study protocols as needed • Supports qualitative data analysis and synthesis by arranging for support from external vendors for interview transcription and translation services • Drafts and creates study instruments such as electronic surveys • Maintains detailed and secure project databases • Organizes and schedules meetings with internal project team and external partners and captures and maintain meeting minutes and action items • Develops and maintains a system for organizing project information using G Suite tools • Organizes logistics and communications for project Community Leadership Board • Manages data and generates routine reports for monitoring and evaluation purposes • Oversees and troubleshoots external user access to e-learning platform • Prepares project reports for internal and external audiences
Communications (25%) • Implements routine communications activities such as minor updates to website content and updates to project newsletter and social media • Manages logistics for project dissemination events such as webinars • Monitors incoming correspondence to the project email address
Finance (15%) • Supports project team with preparing contract language for external vendors, particularly vendors providing data analysis services such as interview transcription and translation services • Maintains detailed record of invoices from external vendors and sub awardees

Required Qualifications: • BA/BS or a combination of related education and work experience to equal four years. • Experience with G Suite tools, especially Google Calendar and Google Drive. • Experience working with refugees, immigrants, and/or migrant populations in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications: • One-year relevant work experience in the university setting or in a related field. • Excellent oral and written communication skills. • Demonstrated interest in working with diverse, multicultural communities and/or in international settings. • Proven ability to work both independently and in a team environment. • Successful problem solving and decision making skills. • Excellent organizational skills and time management skills. • Ability to work some evenings and weekends.
