Additional Comments: In Cherokee our small animal practice has 2 exam rooms, 1 surgery room and 3 kennel rooms (feline, hospital, and canine). Capabilities include gas anesthesia, digital x-ray, ultrasound, in-house blood machine and U/A. Large animal resources include large animal surgery room and working facility with tilt table, bovine neonatal ICU, embryo transfer lab, equine stocks, portable manual chute (2), portable hydraulic chute (2), portable hydraulic tub/chute(2). We also operate through satellite clinics in Holstein (small and large animal facilities), Ida Grove (small animal only) and recently added Anthon and Mapleton. Mapleton clinic has exam and surgery rooms, gas anesthesia, digital x-ray, in-house blood and U/A machines along with a large boarding facility and grooming services. Large animal outdoor working facilities also available at this location.
Responsibilities of Employee:
Primarily large/ small or mixed animal medicine and surgery
Full time veterinarians share after-hours emergency calls equally (currently 6 veterinarians).
Primary small animal doctor position available with mentorship at Mapleton location.
Special interests/talents desired in employee:
Strong desire to practice quality and progressive veterinary medicine in a farming community.
