Office Manager, Stearns Center for Teaching and Learning
The Stearns Center for Teaching and Learning at George Mason University is currently seeking a part-time Office Manager. This position reports to the team's Operations Manager and serves a team of approximately 12 administrative faculty and classified staff. The Stearns Center is very active with multiple teams, projects and events that serve faculty across the university. General office management, including office supplies, space management, key control and equipment inventory, telecom and facilities work orders, and part-time staff supervision;
Fiscal management, including budget systems (eVA and pCard purchasing according to university guidelines), budget reconciliation, and travel authorizations and reimbursements;
HR liaison, including support for candidate searches and staff on-boarding;
Providing high-quality general administrative support to the Stearns Center;
Working in collaboration with other administrative staff in Digital Learning and Teaching Excellence;
Cross-train responsibilities to ensure effective office continuity at all times.
Ability to work as part of a team, but also act independently;
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced office environment;
Experience with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Outlook and Word;
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Experience with Mason's office systems including Banner and MicroStrategy.
This position will remain open until filled, applications will be reviewed starting immediately and the desire is to fill this position as soon as possible.
Salary: Commensurate with education and experience.
