The Department of Preventive Medicine is seeking an experienced, dependable, flexible, and detail-oriented individual is needed to join a research team at the University of Southern California to manage projects within the âMaternal and Developmental Risks from Environmental and Social Stressors (MADRES)â Center and the ECHO consortium site at USC. The study is investigating the effects of prenatal air pollutants, chemicals and stress on maternal and child health outcomes.
Employment involves (1) supervising staff in data collection, informed consent and other study procedures, (2) overseeing the scheduling of appointments for visits with participants; (3) managing data collection procedures and establishing protocols; (4) maintaining and troubleshooting an inventory of supplies and equipment for study use; (5) interfacing with research participants to conduct study procedures; (6) reviewing and providing quality assurance on data collected from participants; and (7) other duties as assigned. Excellent English writing and speaking skills are required, and bilingual Spanish/English is desired, as is the ability to work well with different groups, including research faculty and staff. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational capabilities, problem-solving skills, and a demonstrated ability to work independently while managing multiple projects. Flexible working hours including evenings and weekends is essential. Prior experience in a research environment is preferred. Masterâs Degree is preferred; bachelorâs degree and 3-5 years of work experience in a related field is required.
