The Director Information Systems and Development Services shall be responsible for:
Developing strategy as it relates to the department's IT infrastructure including computer, information systems and communication systems.
Designing, developing and implementing processes and standards for selection, implementation, and software systems applications to aid the department clinicians and administrators in their activities.
Providing direction, guidance, supervision and training to IT staff in the department.
Conducting performance reviews and proposes merit increases ensuring consistency amongst members of the IT group.
Consulting senior-level stakeholders across the department and the entire organization to identify business and technology opportunities to optimize the use of information technology.
Leading the efforts to improve the department's IT processes.
Working with Hospital ISD coordinating and ensuring departmental strategy are in-line with Hospital ISD policy and guidelines.
In order to qualify you must have:
A Masters degree in Computer Science or related field and a minimum of 10 years' experience
Experience with Healthcare IT Operations, supervising technology teams, and overseeing large IT projects.
Excellent understanding of computer systems, databases, data storage systems and electronic healthcare systems
Strong knowledge project management and data analysis
