The role requires strong partnership with the business and with regional and local compliance teams to deliver a strong global policy, deliver associated projects and provide real subject matter expertise.
The successful candidate will:
Report to the Chief Compliance Officer on issues of Regulatory Compliance
Identify regulatory compliance risks and relevant mitigation
Ensure that the regulatory compliance risks are managed, working with local and regional teams to drive consistency in policy
Supervise and document the implementation of regulatory projects and regularly provide update reports
Provide support to the business on regulatory compliance issues
Attending relevant internal and external committees
Help implement the strategic objectives and target operating model for regulatory compliance
Provide training to colleagues, operational staff and management in order to educate the business in all areas of regulatory changes
Support international branches on regulatory projects
Mitigate operational risks by working with your colleagues in the compliance and risk teams
Foster good relations with regulators where appropriate, and represent the bank to the market on steering committees
To be successful in this role you will need to have the following qualifications:
Background in regulatory Compliance ideally within commercial, corporate or private banking, or broader financial markets
A strong relevant project management background will be essential
Our client is flexible regarding maximum experience, but this is a senior role and applicants should have a more than 5 years' experience in a similar role as a compliance manager or equivalent within a financial services company
Expert knowledge of regulatory matters, with the ability to interact with all key internal and external stakeholders with regards to regulatory compliance
Strong knowledge of banking regulation will be required, EMIR, MIFID II, MAR, etc.
Fluency in English required, French and/or another European language desired
