This will be a very "hands on" technical role requiring the individual to act as a technical lead to help lead and build a team of around 10-15 engineers.
The role is with a global banking client but within a function tasked with building platforms for areas that run across the entire bank. Part of their new Digital Banking initiatives has seen the demand for building in-house platforms increase and the client is now looking at building out a platform which will act as an internal global "community" where centralised technical information can be accessed / shared across the organisation.
Please note this role requires no previous Banking / Financial Services experience but candidates should have worked on large-scale systems within their respective industry domains.
The role requires (but is not limited) to the following criteria:
Proven experience as a Technical Lead who can lead and build engineering teams (10+) as well as take ownership with experience managing global stakeholders up to the C level
Must possess "Hands on" Technical ability & still maintain a passion to code.
Contribute towards the overall design and architecture of the platform.
Engage directly with C-Level stakeholder with an ability to own and drive the relevance of current / upcoming technology trends to continuously evolve this "community".
Proven experience building out similar platforms such as internal web portal systems / e-commerce systems / global web-based marketplace type platforms etc...

The ideal candidate should have the following skills / background:
Proven experience of leading teams of up to 10+ engineers.
Hands on experience with the following technologies:
Python (Highly Advantageous)
Experience working with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB
Experience building out scalable robust platforms such as internal portal systems / web-based marketplaces / e-commerce platforms.
