Key responsibilities of the Financial Journalist will include:
Create content for SME recovery, working capital management, debt management, insolvency etc.
Support in-house content team in delivering current content requirements by focusing on SME survival.
Conceive, develop and deliver market-leading engaging digital, media rich content which drives high quality traffic.
Identify key industry thought leaders and sources of relevant, engaging, accurate and authoritative content for small UK businesses, which can be used to support the bank's brand and content strategy.
Build and maintain effective and productive working relationships with partners, colleagues, and third parties in order to source high quality, unique content for website(s) and other Marketing Communications initiatives (e.g. newsletters, social media, events).
Work with optimisation resources to identify high and low performing content with a view to recommending new approaches or revising existing ones.
Key experience needed for the Financial Journalist will include:
Has a demonstrably successful track record in creating financial digital content, preferably with a background in financial journalism.
Extensive experience of content production processes and search engine optimisation techniques relating to the curation of content, optimised for SERPS.
Able to employ different tones of voice, inline with the brand and audience being written for.
Demonstrable experience of writing in different formats and styles, including long and short form copy (e.g. interviews, guides, articles, whitepapers, FAQs and messaging).
Able to demonstrate the ability to think creatively and deliver high-performing content for use across websites, social channels and online marketing campaigns.
Experience of working within financial services, financial journalism or an organisation that supports small businesses in a content role is desirable.
Excellent analytical, creative and planning skills to drive on time delivery and creative innovation.
Can manage multiple projects and tasks effectively, plans well so deadlines are met and quality output is maintained, with minimal resources.
High standard of accuracy and detail throughout content created and in reporting, ensuring all copy, reports and documents are highly professional.
Good Microsoft Office skills (primarily Word, Excel and Powerpoint).
