This position directs, administers, and coordinates the activities of the organization in support of strategies, objectives and policies by the Chief Executive Officer and the Board of Directors in order to improve operational procedures and provide needed products and services to our customers by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate managers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Ensures that all organizational activities and operations are carried out in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and laws governing both banking and business operations
Develops, implements, and monitors procedures consistent with Board policies and objectives
Provides guidance and direction to bank management regarding bank policies and procedures
In conjunction with department supervisors, may be responsible for general oversight of the Deposit Services Department, Regulatory Compliance Department, Information Systems and Security Department, and Centralized Loan Servicing Department
In conjunction with CIO, coordinates the Bank’s in-house electronic data processing operations including the establishment and implementation of procedures for physical and data security, local and remote communications, computer access, and software administration
Manages approved projects from inception through implementation by prioritizing and scheduling staff assignments based on factors such as resource availability, project timelines, feasibility, and business needs
Determines scope of projects and establishes timelines, works to ensure that milestones are met and projects remain on schedule, schedules and facilitates project meetings, and develops progress reports in order to keep project team members and senior management informed of project progress and related conflicts and issues
Provides communication regarding project status to appropriate parties throughout the life of each project
Follows up with project team members to resolve issues and ensure that tasks are completed
Monitors and assesses the effectiveness of projects and programs, analyzes results, and suggests best practices for workflow, operational strategies, and business processes; and keeps informed of competitor strategies in the financial services industry
Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
Knowledge and Experience
Five or more years of demonstrated successful leadership and management experience
Advanced competencies and comprehensive hands-on experience in bank operations management and bank information systems management
Full understanding of Fiserv Premier system operations and application software
