The Position Reporting to the Managing Director, the Senior Associate Private Funds will play a leading role in supporting Tricon’s private capital raising efforts as well as ensuring excellent client service to existing private investors. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated self-starter to join a dynamic and collaborative organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Create marketing materials and strategic content for private investment vehicles including investor presentations, flipbooks and teasers, • Provide project management expertise to the launch of new investment products • Collaborate with senior leaders and members of the corporate finance/investor relations, marketing, investment, compliance, human resources, legal and accounting teams to produce content • Complete Due Diligence Questionnaires (DDQs), Requests for Proposal (RFPs) and Requests for Information (RFIs); draft language as needed • Collaborate across internal groups to oversee the response to investor requests and questionnaires • Maintain the master investor database (Management of CRM database) with all existing and prospective private investor contacts, commitments and recent communication • Conduct market research and write reports on investor appetite for investment products and competitive landscape • Produce report on industry conference attendees (institutional investors) • Develop, maintain, and demonstrate an in-depth understanding of private equity real estate and Tricon Residential’s products
Education, Experience and Skills • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Commerce, Finance or Economics) or MBA • Up to 5 years of experience in financial advisory, capital markets, investment banking, corporate banking, equity research, corporate development, investor relations • Minimum of 2 years of directly relevant experience with an alternative asset investment management firm • Experience working with private funds and knowledge of private equity real estate preferred • Understanding of institutional investment marketplace and interest in financial markets • Highly analytical, skilled at problem solving and decision-making • Ability to cope with high pressure, deadline driven environment • Attention to detail • Self-motivated with the ability and enthusiasm to work collaboratively • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, fluency in another language is considered an asset. • High level of tact and diplomacy • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, expert ability in PowerPoint
