About the Department The Technology and Operations function is comprised of five teams of specialists with distinct capabilities: business partnership, technology, operations, risk governance and planning support and services. We work closely together to harness the power of technology to support our physical and digital banking services and operations. This includes developing, centralising and standardising technology systems as well as banking operations in Singapore and overseas branches.
Drive standardization, best practice adoption, and consistency to implement a sustainable platform to rollout to regional countries
Take accountability to deliver the scope on-time, within budget with high quality. Exercise judgment, take initiative and make decisions.
Deliver solutions that meet and exceed the functional, non-functional/technical, infrastructure and security requirements
Lead and collaborate with cross-functional and technical teams including business analysts, technical teams, testing teams and other Host technical teams to design and deliver solutions
Mentor and train technical team members with the potential to grow into Technical Leads
Work effectively with the business users and with the internal IT and Security Teams to ensure efficiency of the solutions implemented to support the business
Work closely with the BA, infra, deployments and vendor teams.
Use and manage vendor augmented resources and ensure work assignments for high utilization and effective, quality outcomes while avoiding re-work
Drive technical innovation to enhance functional and technical capabilities of the platform
Build frameworks for configuration instead of code for each component
Communicate with technical and non-technical resources and work with limited direction while being highly productive
Apply standards and industry frameworks while leverage existing technologies and tools in the Bank
Implement solutions considering functionality, data, security, integration, infrastructure and performance.
Produce detailed design /low level design documents that communicate the system design effectively
Drive adherence to development, configuration management and deployment standards for solutions
Analyse performance test, vulnerability assessments and any other test related issues that arise during projects
Manage, address and resolve project-related technical issues in a timely fashion, ensuring necessary escalation and communication to stakeholders as necessary
Select, train, develop and manage technical team members in a conducive team environment
Lead multi-vendor teams to successfully deliver solutions
Guide the project team in issue resolution to meet the requirements and timelines
Degree with 12+ years of current, hands on technical experience
Go-getter attitude with strong analytical and problem solving skills
Solid understanding of:
AIX O/S and/or RedHat platform and scripting skills
Java and internet-related components (i.e: JSON, XML)
iPlanet, Websphere, Weblogic, Database, Sql
DevOps suite of products (i.e: Jenkins, GitHub, Sonar, Aldon, etc)
Connect Direct, SFTP
Perf tuning and automation in general
Experience of complete software development lifecycles - waterfall and agile project experience
General understanding of banking and knowledge and application of banking technology and regulations/compliance
Understanding of data security, privacy, data protection, regulatory and compliance procedures
Strong oral communication and writing skills
Strong team building, interpersonal and leadership skills
