FCC is looking to hire a full-time Membership Delight Coordinator, who will report to the Director of Business & Finance and perform a variety of critical functions in the day-to-day operations of our small, growing organization. We are looking for a highly organized self-starter with strong initiative and follow-through. The demands of this position are at once routine and fluid; we are looking for someone who will thrive on that. The ideal candidate will be able to effectively balance the demands of what-is and the vision of what-could-be.
Member Delight and Event Support
Provide first line of response to member inquiries by phone or email
Support the Board of Directors, Committee, and Subcommittee Chairs
Maintain and ensure accuracy of data in databases, email and contact lists
Respond and follow-up to inquiries concerning membership and services
Manage new member on-boarding program
Maintain accurate lists of Committee and Subcommittee Members
Assist in the development and implementation of member recruitment and retention campaigns and member services and programs
Assist with invoicing and collection of dues and other payments
Assist with member communications including web pages and social media
Monitor online community activity including execution of content plan
Upload and moderate webinars in the Learning Community
Assist in all aspects of meeting planning for all FCC and FCC Foundation events
Execute regular mailings and e-mailings to members and other stakeholders
Primary contact for association phone and email
Propose ways to better streamline our data systems and better utilize available tools/resources
Assist with check deposits and financial reports as requested
Assist with bookkeeping duties in QuickBooks as needed
Maintain and improve office environment
Run errands as needed
Provides administrative support to CEO and others as needed
Assist with other tasks as needed in addition to the duties listed on this job description
Social Media and Website Support
Contribute and adhere to the social media editorial calendar to share messages via FCC’s social media, including Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram
Make posts, create and manage events, and manage communications on FCC’s social media accounts
Make basic updates to the website content and ensures content is up-to-date
Find, diagnose, and fix content problems, including broken links, typographical errors, removal of outdated information, and formatting inconsistencies on the website and member portal
Stay abreast of the changing digital technologies, specifically social media platforms and blogs, and guide staff on utilization of these platforms
Desired Skills, Experience, and Qualities:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited University required
Proficient with MS Office suite, especially Excel and Outlook
Proficient with Adobe Acrobat
Experience working in a non-profit or trade association a plus
Experience with customer relationship management and learning management software
Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud a plus
Excellent customer service skills and attitude
Excellent writing skills including proof reading and editing documents
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and see them to completion
Ability to work independently but function as part of a small, strong team, maintaining a positive and constructive attitude
Ability to proactively identify, express, and solve problems
Compensation: $25 – 35k, based on experience. Benefits include health insurance, 401k contribution, cell phone stipend, and Aflac coverage.
Location: FCC’s main office is on Park Avenue in downtown Tallahassee. There will be times the employee is required to be in the office, but there is the option to work from home a large part of the time.
Other Requirements: Occasional evening/weekend work and occasional travel is required, for special meetings/events. Candidates are required to have their own cell phone and personal vehicle/reliable transportation.
Telecommuting is allowed.
