Five years of experience in instructional design, computer multimedia, or course development using emerging technologies, preferably in higher education or related field. Experience with development in Storyline, including captioning, audio and video integration and editing, player customization functions, and development of unique and engaging interactions highly desirable. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of education. Nature & Purpose of Position/Usual Duties: Assists in the design and development of digital learning, from fully online courses to individual digital learning objects. Position requires travel to campus locations across Texas. Primary Responsibilities (Staff Positions Only): Assists and supports in the development and implementation of digital learning, leveraging instructional technologies and pedagogical know-how. Manages assigned course workload using project management fundamentals. Consults with staff and subject matter experts to determine appropriate technology and strategies for course delivery, learning design, and tool usage. Helps coordinate SHSU Online services on behalf of the institute. Facilitates development sessions or instructional technology workshops as needed. Program support may be provided via webinars, phone calls, virtual meetings, or face-to-face. Performs other related duties as assigned. |
