Corporate Governance Officer Hong Kong The Corporate Governance Officer will support the Hong Kong Chief Operating Officer at the HK CCO office, primarily in corporate governance management and various project management. The Corporate Governance Officer is able to stay abreast of developments within the controls, franchise risk and governance field, and able to contribute to the directional strategy by considering the application of any changes to both their role and the remit of the team. The role supports the COO in delivering franchise governance to ensure safety and soundness. Soundness comes from leading a culture of control and adherence to Citi and Regulatory policies and principles. Safety includes having a robust continuity of business plan that is known and understood throughout the franchise, and leading Citi's operations in times of crisis
Support the Citi Country Officer and Hong Kong senior management to execute corporate governance requirements for Hong Kong, including both the corporate standards and the regulatory requirements, and legal entity governance standards.
Coordinate and consolidate input and submission from the businesses and functions on various corporate governance tasks.
Liaise with the business and functions on strategic projects (ESG, Digital Transformation, Legal Vehicle optimization, Greater Bay Area opportunities and ICG/GCB partnership).
Ensure proper recordkeeping and documentation of the various corporate governance tasks, including support of minutes taking, and meeting materials preparation gathering.
Interact and collaborate with different functions including Legal, ICRM, Risk and Finance as necessary to support these tasks.
Excellent at analytics with an ability to leverage data whilst ensuring attention to detail
Perform ad-hoc duties as assigned.
Good communicator able to clearly articulate issues
Good presentation skills, with an ability to distill complex topics into digestible formats
Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to build relationships and communicate across the franchise
6-10 years relevant work experience
FP&A background and experience preferred
Knowledge and interest of Compliance laws, rules, regulations, risks and typologies
Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English and Chinese)
Positive attitude and enthusiasm in the performance of responsibility
Strong analytical, teamwork and organizational skill
Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Knowledge of the firm's risk and control processes, and an ability to work closely with business partners on findings and make recommendations on improving practice
MS Excel, MS Access, and MS PowerPoint proficiency
Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience
