Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The primary purpose of this position is to perform a variety of program support and administrative tasks for the Department of Advising and Orientation including managing work processes and performance, budgeting, and planning and organization.
Duties and responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to the following:
Supervise and lead a team of SHRA records managers, a customer service receptionist, and work study students (includes 4 full-time staff members and multiple student employees).
Coordinate the work flow for student records management in University College Academic Advising and Orientation.
Serve as liaison between Academic Advising and Orientation and the upper division colleges to help resolve student record issues and establish best practices.
Serve as a student record expert in Advising and Orientation.
Manage the new online processes for University College student readmission, major declaration, intended major change updates, orientation management and the development of future online student processes in Banner.
Serve as lead consultant for online database management, appointment and reporting software, and online major declaration reporting/processing.
Provide budget oversight for 3 university funds, payroll oversight for all EHRA, SHRA, and semi-monthly employees.
Perform all human resource functions for the Academic Advising and Orientation Center (AAOC).
Some post-secondary education plus 3-5 years administrative experience.
Knowledge of Banner Student.
Experience in payroll and human resources personnel management.
Demonstrated supervisory skills.
Demonstrated budget management experience.
Demonstrated project management experience.
Demonstrated leadership skills and management of daily office operations including delegating tasks and workflow management.
Demonstrated effective customer service, excellent verbal and written communication skills, a collaborative communication style, strong interpersonal skills, and proven ability to work with sensitive and confidential information.
