What You'll Bring:
We’re looking for a great communicator to join TransUnion as a Director on our Corporate Affairs & Communication team, responsible for directing and executing the company’s public affairs and issues management communications in the United States.
Our ideal candidate will have strong communication expertise, business acumen and people skills, and will be responsible for envisioning and executing strategic communication plans that protect and promote TransUnion’s reputation and interests.
You will be responsible for developing and leading a public affairs communication program in the United States to build our brand with Federal and State policymakers, and articulate and amplify TransUnion’s perspective on topics affecting our industry.
You will also lead the company’s communications in response to issues affecting our U.S. business, as part of a cross-functional response team.
Periodically, you will also support the broader Corporate Affairs & Communications team by contributing to other corporate or executive communication initiatives.
Exceptional communication skills, including ability to write, pitch and present compelling content
Expertise in crisis and/or public affairs communication programs
Strong track record developing, executing and measuring the success of strategic communication programs leveraging a variety of digital and traditional channels
Strong track record developing media strategy and cultivating reporter/influencer relationships
Ability to form effective, consultative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Extremely good prioritization and organization skills
Comfortable working under deadline pressure in a rapidly evolving environment
Creativity, flexibility and initiative
A minimum of 10 years relevant progressive experience, preferably in a corporate, agency or campaign/political setting

This role requires strong relationships with colleagues from various departments across TransUnion including government relations, legal, compliance, public relations, social media, marketing, internal communications, design, sales, and more.
This role is expected to manage the work of team members and agencies to maximize performance.
Some travel may be required (when COVID-19 risk subsides).
