As a GI Lab / Endoscopy Tech, you need to know how to:
Assist with the preparation of the endoscopy room and instruments for assigned cases.
Anticipate the needs of the doctor before and during the procedure.
Assist in the cleanâ‘up of the room and instruments after the procedure.
Follow specific guidelines for each procedure to be performed in Endoscopy (ie: EGD, Flex Sigs, colonoscopy, bronchoscopy, PEG and ERCPâ™s).
Maintain supplies in endoscopy travel cart, restock as needed.
Clean Endoscopy rooms, maintain, troubleshoot, and sterilize all endoscopy equipment.
Assist the Endoscopy RN and physician as directed in all Endoscopy procedures.
We hire people, not resumes. But we also expect excellence, which is why we require:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association
Graduate of an accredited program for Surgical Technology
At least one (1) year of endoscopy experience
