Market Job Description
Engineer needs to work as a full time production support engineer for multi-tier digital banking applications. The engineer has to deal with different middleware products like Weblogic, Apache, Sunone, Jboss, Tomcat and IIS for the Build, Maintenance and Support activities. The engineer also expects to identify chronic problems, conduct root cause analysis, recommend & implement solutions and responsible for resolution of middleware systems performance and production incidents, which may require 24/7 coverage. Ensure that systemic issues have appropriate resolution paths, and that documentation is created and kept up-to-date. Conceptualize and work with other departments to automate tasks improving efficiency and accuracy. Provides technical guidance and consultation for web systems environments. Develops new documentation and participates in the development of departmental technical procedures. Consults with web developers and management and recommends web configurations.. As an escalation point for web support and troubleshooting, provides guidance and direction to less experienced staff in the resolution of escalated issues and/or complex web related problems. Assures quality, security and compliance requirements are met for supported area and oversees updating and testing of the business continuation plan. Assigns project tasks and provides direction and guidance to less experienced staff
Skills and Experience required:
8 years of experience in Middleware Administration (Weblogic,Tomcat, Apache,Jboss,Sunone,IIS)
Leading Team on all technical issues related to APP and WEB tier.
Adapt the new technology, environments and standards as per the team's requirements.
Able to work on both Windows and UNIX platforms.
Should be able to work in 16X7 model (The shift includes to cover both Saturday and Sunday throughout the project)
Should have worked with the Vendors and understand the engagement model of various product vendors for any ongoing issues.
Should have experience in application support (also be able to provide support on-call)
Quick learner; strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Must be independent and creative in approach to problems/issues and proactive.
Ability to attend many tasks simultaneously, with frequently changing priorities.
Able to multi-task and prioritize a demanding and varied workload.
Demonstrated ability to keep up with an ever-changing technical environment.
Highly self-motivated with a confident, do the right thing, attitude.
Organized, excellent oral and written communication skills.
Shell/Perl/Python Scripting experience is required
Certified in any of the middleware technologies, ITIL v3 Foundation Certified.
Ticketing systems- Candidate should have experience working with problem ticket systems. Ticketing system they use is PAC 2000 (they can use another such as clarity, remedy, etc). Need to have exposure and be able to document their work within the tool to resolve issues
Having good exposure to Devops tools like Udeploy,GitHub,Puppet etc.,
Must have exposure to any of the data analytic tools like Splunk or Nagios
