The Department of Public Health at St. Ambrose University invites applications for an Evaluation Specialist to commence August 2020. The candidate will be joining the Department of Public Health (MPH) and Institute for Person-Centered Care (IPCC) in the College of Health and Human Services to work closely with the Robert Young Center to perform the evaluation duties associated with Substance Abuse Mental Health Service Agency (SAMHSA) funded the Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) program. This position will be primarily based at the Robert Young Center and work with both the SAU MPH/IPCC and RYC CCBHC teams to perform all duties associated with evaluation, data collection, performance assessment, and quality improvement of the program. The successful candidate will work closely with the project/management team at RYC and SAU to develop and implement systems to collect, analyze, track, and disseminate data and evaluation reports. Duties will include tracking measurable goals/objectives related to data collection, management, analysis, and continuous assessment of project performance; collecting all data and performance measurement obligations including GPRA requirements and submission of data to SAMHSA within required time frames; lead quality improvement process for project performance objectives and outcomes, focusing on using data to improve systems, identifying gaps in practice, and identifying new opportunities to implement/modify evidence based interventions. Additional duties as required. The ideal candidate will have expertise in program evaluation (5 years or more preferred), familiarity in mental health service provision, data driven approaches, and previous SAMHSA or federal grant experience preferred. Candidates should have an MPH, or comparable MS in a health/social sciences-related degree that includes experience in data/evaluation science, statistics, management information science, an epidemiology. Bachelor's degree with strong coursework and practice in data analysis, evaluation methodology, and statistical methods will be considered.
