The following responsibilities represent Policy Analysis and Reporting work performed.
1)Develop and lead the execution of a content agenda for the AQLI; includes planning and independently researching timely, targeted reports on country-specific air pollution trends and policies for various audiences using the AQLI.
2)Work closely with communications staff to develop and implement an outreach agenda that maximizes visibility for the AQLI and its outputs, and build relationships with relevant stakeholders.
3) Work with EPIC leadership on fundraising efforts to further develop the AQLIâ™s capabilities and reach.
4) Monitor relevant news and policy developments to produce targeted analyses on the potential or actual impact of specific policies.
5) Proactively create new data visualizations, including charts, maps and other forms of multimedia that communicate the insights of the AQLI in innovative ways.
6)In coordination with communications staff, respond to media inquiries both as a source of background knowledge and on-the-record expertise.
7)Assist in making AQLI presentation slides and other outreach materials.
8)With communications liaison, coordinate output with graphic designers, web developers, translators, and other professionals inside and outside of EPIC, as needed.
The following responsibilities represent Research and Data Maintenance work performed.
9)Work with PI to devise and implement methodologies and new features to expand the scope of the AQLI.
10)Process new annual satellite pollution data and population data and work with the web development team to update the website (typically once per year).
11)Update spatial mapping data (shapefiles) as needed.

9)Familiarity with data analysis in R or Python, or ability and willingness to be a fast learner.
1)Advanced degree in economics, public policy, computer science, statistics, mathematics, or a related field.
1)Six to ten years of experience in data analysis, policy analysis, or a similar role that involved analyzing complex data and making it relevant and understandable to a general audience through both data visualization and writing.
2) Demonstrated experience managing complex research projects.
3)Â Developing and maintaining strong partnerships with external collaborators, funders, journalists, or other important constituencies.
4)Â Some experience in fundraising, such as proposal writing.
5)Â Some exposure to working with news media.
Technical Skills or Knowledge
1)Â Experience with R, Python, Stata, or similar tools.
