Office Administrator Senior - Neuroscience Institute 15317
The Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute of West Virginia University is seeking applications for an Office Administrator Sr. This position is responsible for project development, planning, and implementation of new and expanded programs in conjunction with executives. Provides programmatic support to the individual executives, as well as the programs that they create, manage, and oversee.
In order to be successful in this position, the ideal candidate will:
Provide administrative oversight of neurosciences programs.
Leads, coordinates, and has direct responsibility for a wide variety of special projects on behalf of the Executive Director of Neuroscience and/or hospital leadership staff.
Initiates programs in direct consultation with Executive Director and coordinates their implementation and completion in collaboration with appropriate internal and external customers
Responsible for effective communication and regular reports of project status related to the Center for Innovation building, RNI events and administrative and office affairs/projects.
Develops and coordinates communication to all program stakeholders and other necessary individuals/groups
Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
Drafts, proofreads, prepares, organizes, and coordinates the preparation of correspondence, complex itineraries, publications, data, and materials for emails, newsletters, presentations and reports
Responsible for the coordination and scheduling of the Executive Director of the Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute including scheduling of meetings, calendar management and responding to requests for meetings.
Plans, organizes, and facilitates special events including retreats, seminars, award ceremonies, workshops and conferences.
Pay Grade: 18
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
Two (2) years of healthcare, project management, or related experience; high level administrative experience;
Or an equivalent combination and education and experience.
Ability to develop and maintain positive relations within teams and external parties.
Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Must demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong organizational skills.
Ability to problem solve and make appropriate decisions.
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
