EVENT CONTENT PRODUCER , MIT Technology Review (MITTR) , to support MITTR's rapidly growing events business. Will manage the program development and speaker selection process for MITTR's in-person and online events, including identifying speakers and subject matter experts; manage speakers for specific events, including invitations, communications, content briefing coordination, and content preparation; work with speakers to prepare talks, including running speaker and panel preparation calls; manage event production order on the day, ensuring proper flow of agenda and speaker preparedness; assist with conducting in-depth market research on conference topics/themes and competitive events to ensure relevance and timeliness of content; assist event team with designing session formats that best convey content to audience; and write content abstracts and assist with marketing copy.
Job Requirements REQUIRED : B.A./B.S. degree; at least three years' event programming experience, preferably within the technology space; ability to program events that will satisfy a demanding, intelligent, technology-savvy, and highly literate audience; demonstrated understanding of the competitive event landscape; desire to consistently enhance events and bring new ideas, strategic and executional; excellent organizational, project management, interpersonal, and written and verbal communication skills; experience working with and effectively managing the interests of multiple stakeholders on sensitive and deadline-driven projects; and proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Must be able to write compelling session abstracts, segment descriptions, and promotional copy; interact with a range of clients and stakeholders, including leaders in business, government, and academia; manage multiple simultaneous tasks, relationships, and schedules; and coordinate live productions and/or event broadcasts and tailor event delivery.
