The Sr. Project Portfolio Analyst shall be responsible for:
Assisting the ISD PMO Director in facilitating and coordinating the efforts of senior leadership toward the establishment of the project portfolio, its structure and processes, from demand management and strategic alignment of projects and programs to portfolio categories and criteria, through evaluation, selection and prioritization; to execution, tracking and measuring the achieved results
Engaging with the ISD PMO senior leadership to support quarterly (or at other intervals as specified) reviews of the project portfolio with senior business, IT, executives, stakeholder committees, ITAC and other relevant bodies, to validate and assess the project portfolio, execute changes, and reprioritize the portfolio to meet business needs
Supporting and advising the ISD PMO Director on actions required to balance the portfolio of existing projects and projected demand, including but not limited to capacity planning and demand planning, project scheduling, project decomposition (staging of projects in multiple phases), etc.
Ensuring the oversight and coordination of dependencies across the projects and programs in the portfolio, and resolves or escalates conflicts as deemed necessary
Managing and tracking all change management requests from projects in the portfolio, and works with the ISD PMO Director on their review, approval and communication back to the projects
Creating periodic status update reports and targeted communications reporting on the health of the ISD project portfolio, their contents and the individual performance of initiatives to stakeholders, steering committees and senior executives
On behalf of the ISD PMO, ensures the adherence to the appropriate governance functions relating to the portfolio and in accordance with the established project management methodology guidelines, policies and practices
Providing support to all project portfolio managers
Developing and maintaining appropriate healthcare and project portfolio management knowledge of common concepts, practices and procedures
Managing and administering the project portfolio management tool, ensuring all projects are accurately reflected, tracked and maintain
Supporting the ISD PMO Director on the capital planning process for the respective project portfolio
To qualify, you must have:
A bachelor's degree and 7 years of relevant experience with minimum 3 years of experience as a Sr. Project Portfolio Analyst
Scrum Master Certification a plus
Thorough knowledge and related work experience of the project management process, theory and lifecycle, including Waterfall and Agile methodology, as well as Project Delivery Framework and SDLC
Knowledge of project portfolio management practices, capacity planning techniques and mechanisms, demand planning, and COTS project portfolio management tools
Thorough understanding of project lifecycle and project portfolio management tools
