Founded in 2011, the Harvard Innovation Labs (HIL) is an ecosystem designed to foster entrepreneurship and innovation across the Harvard University community. HIL consists of three entities:
The i-lab is available to current students from any Harvard school looking to explore innovation and entrepreneurship at any stage. The i-lab provides the physical and intellectual resources needed to develop and grow startups, including co-working space, advising, office hours with industry experts, workshops, Venture Programs, and the President's Innovation Challenge (PIC), an annual venture competition.
Launch Lab X GEO (LLX GEO) is a nine-month accelerator for Harvard alumni ventures. Applications are accepted from all over the world and open to alumni from all schools.
The Pagliuca Harvard Life Lab is a shared laboratory space for high-potential life sciences and biotech startups founded by Harvard faculty, alumni, students, and postdoctoral scholars. The 15,000-square-foot facility has 36 lab workbenches and 50 co-working spaces.

What you will do:
Spearhead a strategic portfolio of programming and resources, including:
Venture programs for student teams
Alumni outreach and programming, including Launch Lab X GEO for alumni
Array of expert resources (e.g., Experts in Residence, mentors)
Portfolio of funding resources (e.g., funds, grants) for teams
Partner with key leaders on the HIL team to deliver:
Portfolio of offerings—namely student advising, mentoring, and events—in key industry sectors (Health & Life Sciences; Social Enterprise; Consumer Products and Services; B2B and Technology)
Annual President's Innovation Challenge
Manage a team of 6-8 FTEs and coordinate closely with department heads / functional leaders across the HIL team.
Work closely with the Executive Director, the Senior Director of Administration, the HIL team, and key stakeholders across Harvard University to create, market, deliver, and assess high-quality, strategically-relevant programming.
Align and assess HIL's portfolio of offerings—delivered via in-person, virtual, and/or hybrid formats—to ensure that:
HIL remains customer-centric and highly-relevant. The Managing Director, Programs and Engagement should ensure that:
HIL provides best-in-class offerings for our community.
HIL develops a vision and roadmap for the future and constantly adapts its offerings to meet customer needs based on a rigorous approach to program measurement and evaluation.
HIL maintains an active and robust network of value creators / expert resources to support the work of our teams and community.
During the current period of Covid-19 related restrictions, this position may start as a remote position, with the transition to onsite at HBS campus in Boston, MA when the office reopens.

10+ years of relevant experience in leading programmatic design and delivery in a service-driven organization.

MBA or advanced degree preferred.
