The University Advancement systems replacement program is a multi-year program designed to improve Wash U’s operational excellence and ability to make insight driven decisions focused on University Advancement activity. ADIS is the system of record for Washington University alumni and donors, and stores biographical, relationship, transactional, research and activity data for constituents. Critical system functionality supports fundraising and engagement efforts. The University Advancement systems replacement program includes replacing ADIS with a vended, cloud solution, in addition to other identified related systems.
Support University Advancement in the design and use of alumni, friend, and donor data. Work with the Advancement Systems Replacement team and other Advancement staff to coordinate data projects and deliverables related to data migration, report development, dashboard development, and data analysis. Design and produce reports and dashboards in the new advancement CRM system and extended tools to support future fundraising efforts of the University. Expert-level knowledge of advancement data and how it can support WU activities. This position reports to the Data Analyst Lead.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Design and develop of new system-hosted reporting and data delivery solutions, including:
Standard system-hosted reports.
Dashboards and data visualizations.
Support the execution of data migration, including:
Assisting with data audit of ADIS tables to document tables and fields and to identify data cleanup.
Mapping, cleansing and validating data migrations.
Contributing to data governance and data quality improvement initiatives.
Provide support for planning, design, and implementation of an Advancement data warehouse and operational reporting environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
Three or more years of experience in business analysis, including two years of experience with common programming languages.
Prior use and familiarity with Microsoft Office, with advanced proficiency in Excel and Word.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio, experience with Reporting Services software, including Cognos and/or Tableau.
Prior experience in a higher education technology environment, particularly experience with Blackbaud, Ellucian, or Salesforce products.
Familiarity with University Advancement.
Prior experience with data migration and data quality efforts.
Must be able to set priorities and work well under pressure.
Ability to think strategically and analytically and to plan and implement effectively.
Demonstrated success as a team member able to work effectively within a complex organization across multiple units dealing with diverse constituents toward advancement objectives and building effective working relationships.
Superior verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent project management skills and ability to handle multiple projects effectively; a highly organized work style is essential.

The hiring range for this position is $56,472 to $73,403 annually.
This position is full-time and works approximately 40 hours per week.
