Kents Hill School is looking for a Director of Marketing that will be responsible for developing and executing an integrated, multi-channel marketing plan and program that raises brand awareness, drives increased demand for enrollment and philanthropic support, and supports the school’s overall goals and strategic objectives. This role will be responsible for Kents Hill’s external engagement strategy with an immediate focus on website design and content, print and digital marketing materials, and social media management.
Propose, plan, and implement a multi-channel marketing program that includes social media management, website management, email marketing, SEO/SEM (organic and paid), collateral development, and paid advertising (display, video, etc.).
Oversee and continuously improve Kents Hill’s online presence (kentshill.org) to optimize the site as both a recruitment and communications tool including design, features, content, user experience, mobile experience, search and shareability, and retargeting/conversion pixel placement.
Manage Kents Hill’s social media presence on all platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.) including original content planning and creation, scheduling daily content, paid advertising, affinity/private groups, social listening, and audience engagement.
Plan and produce compelling visual storytelling that features video and photography to be used on multiple platforms and for multiple audiences, including social media and paid advertising.
Develop and execute a robust email marketing strategy for target constituencies (prospective parents and students, educational consultants, current parents and students, alumni, donors, friends, etc.) that is timely, relevant, consistent, and actionable.
Design and develop engaging product marketing content and printed/digital materials including viewbook, brochures, sell sheets, invitations, magazines, postcards, posters, cards, and direct mail.
Lead media relations efforts including the regular development and placement of compelling stories in local and regional media and trade publications, including bylined articles from internal thought leaders/experts.
Manage all graphics, style, and signage efforts across campus to ensure a standard visual identity/branding including a partnership with the advancement team to support the school’s major bicentennial campaign in 2024.
Support other members of the faculty, staff, and students in developing and distributing their own content that is in-line with the overall branding and messaging.
Cultivate volunteer efforts in support of marketing and brand awareness goals, including developing a word-of-mouth marketing strategy in partnership with the admissions team.
Measure, report, and improve performance metrics (KPM, KPI, ROI, etc.) of the overall marketing program.

Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Digital Media, Journalism, or related field.
4+ years of experience planning and executing digital marketing campaigns including social media management, email marketing, paid advertising, and content creation (writing, photography, videography).
Extraordinary attention to detail in all aspects of written and verbal communication.
The ability to craft a compelling story and help others share their own stories in an educational and/or service-oriented environment.
An entrepreneurial spirit and the ability to think strategically and creatively.
The ability to anticipate, identify and solve problems independently.
Strong project management skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively under tight deadlines.
Experience with photography and creating short-form marketing videos.
Readiness and willingness to engage in all aspects of school life, including being a presence at events and participating in faculty and student activities.
Understanding of measurement/analytics tools such as Google Ads Suite, Google Analytics, and Facebook Campaign Manager.
Hands-on experience with graphic design and platforms such as Canva and Adobe Creative Suite.
Excellent computer skills, including the management of contact information databases, brand websites, and content management systems (CMS).
Strong writing, collaboration, and analytical skills, including the ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions and recommendations.
