The Investment Banking Division (IBD) Leadership and Management team reports to the Global IBD COO and IBD leadership to drive and implement strategic initiatives across the division. This is a unique opportunity to work with the IBD leadership and other senior leaders across industry and product groups, allowing you to gain a holistic view of corporate strategy and business development at the divisional level. The selected candidate will play a key role in implementing strategic and people processes and initiatives across the division and should be interested in working with a dynamic and creative team to help advise and engage on key business decisions for the Investment Banking Division.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS HOW YOU WILL FULFIL YOUR POTENTIAL
- Candidate will work closely with IBD Management, Business Unit Managers and HCM - Collaborate on, and lead various analyses leveraging data across our client footprint, banker headcount and performance metrics to help drive growth and profitability for the division - Review large data sets, conducting and summarizing analyses that provide detailed insight into key activities and processes that in turn help inform and equip divisional stakeholders to drive key initiatives - Coordinate and develop content for internal and external events for senior leadership (e.g., town halls, GS conferences etc.) - Liaise with stakeholders across the firm to execute and implement key strategic and people focused initiatives SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES WE ARE LOOKING FOR - Strong academic record with Bachelor's degree, equivalent or above required - Prior experience gained from working within investment banking/financial services industry required - Experience in financial planning and expense analysis required - Experience in drafting and preparing presentations for senior management required - Highly proficient in Excel and PowerPoint and familiarity with analytical tools (SAP Business Objects/Hyperion Essbase etc.) required - Familiarity with budgeting and forecasting efforts, financial P&L projections, business planning, management reporting, risk reporting, governance and deals processes required - Project management experience and exposure to cost reduction initiatives and spend analysis required - Experience in drafting and preparing presentations for senior management - Ability to analyse and leverage data to drive clear vision and strategy - Excellent written and oral communication/presentation skills - Ability to work cross-functionally and divisionally, interacting with various teams across the firm - Strong proactive team player able to work efficiently and effectively in handling multiple tasks - Commercially focused and demonstrates drive, enthusiasm and creativity
