Normal Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am to 4:45pm
Job Summary: The Audio Visual Integration Specialist IV serves as senior project manager/program manager and will manage multiple projects that can be multidisciplinary in nature. Researches, develops, implements, and communicates campus standards in the areas of integrated classroom technology, digital signage, and mass notification systems. Will serve in a leadership role in the training, mentoring, and supervision of lower level AVS staff and student workers.
Additional Department Summary: Technician will be required to work independently and accomplish advanced AV systems work in areas such as AV systems installation and commissioning; trouble-shooting complex system issues; advanced level control systems programming; AV system design; technical live event planning, setup, and tear down. May also monitor and respond to calls to the Audio Visual Solutions help-desk. Responsible for working with faculty and staff in the performance of duties as representatives of the department will be a daily task, and position may occasionally serve as a project manager during peak operations periods.
Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree with 2 years of audio visual installation/programming experience, OR High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 6 years of audio visual experience OR any equivalent combination of experience, training, education and/or certification from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been obtained. May require system specific training or certification.
Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Must have valid U.S. driver's license. Must be at least 21 years of age at time of hire and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report as determined by the insurance carrier.
Skills and Knowledge: Advanced knowledge of audio visual systems, particularly related to control system programming and interface design. Working knowledge of customer service, dedication to build on project management skills, and the ability to communicate clearly with end-users.
Preferred Qualifications: CTS and other industry certifications (Extron, Crestron) preferred.
