Expedient is looking for a Business Applications Manager to join our Information Systems team. The team and this position will use the latest cloud-native technologies to build and maintain software solutions that enable our clients and our internal teams to collaborate, sell, deliver and support Expedient's cloud solutions. These applications include CRM, ERP, billing and revenue management, analytics and more. The Business Applications Manager will oversee mission-critical projects that support and improve these systems.

This position requires a diverse level of technical experience, leadership and demonstrated project management skills. The Business Applications Manager provides the technical leadership and direction for the IS team and develops, integrates and applies best practices for systems architecture. This position manages the intake of new project requests from internal departments and then determines course of action and delegates responsibility. The Business Applications Manager is responsible for directing and guiding the IS team to ensure that objectives are met on time and on budget.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop, manage and support an application team to provide application development and/or implementation services as well as support for existing applications
Partner with other technology leaders to ensure delivery of holistic solutions to the business
Partner with Director of Information Systems to ensure the solutions and services are aligned and consistent with the company's enterprise architecture
Contribute to build-versus-buy decisions, leveraging existing off-the-shelf and cloud-based technologies where appropriate
Contribute to the technology planning and budget process from your area of responsibility
Work with the IS team to define and follow production support processes to ensure applications' users are appropriately supported post launch
Along with the business, contribute to business cases to support investment decisions
Maintains an awareness of current practices and trends with regard to methodologies, approaches, software languages, and development tools relevant to the team's applications.
Mentors, coaches and leads team members. Provides informal and formal performance feedback.
Drive quality best practices and support efforts to ensure uptime and performance goals are met
Work with a diverse array of stakeholders across the organization to understand and develop solutions to complex, interdisciplinary challenges
Develop project plans and schedules for initiatives
Adapt project plans and schedules to meet evolving needs
Work with small and talented cross-functional teams to execute projects
Utilize project management tools to manage deliverables, communicate with project stakeholders and manage project schedules
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Business, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Demonstrated continuing education in software development technologies and methodologies
Experience with Agile Development Methodology: Agile Development Methodology Certification preferred
Minimum of 6 years management experience in the areas of application development, which may include business systems design, programming, or project management, leading teams to demonstrated success
Experience building highly scalable applications for e-commerce and other high-transaction businesses
Experience building business cases to support technology investment opportunities
Prior supervisory experience must include hiring, discipline, training, and conducting performance evaluations for a team of at least 8 FTEs
Experience in systems development activities in support of both internal and external customers
Experience with a combination of the following technologies: Salesforce.com, Sage Intacct, Oracle BRM or cloud-native technologies, as well as MS Office
Superior commitment to customer service, servant leadership mentality
Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated strength in project management
Demonstrated capability to build and manage effective high-performance work teams, including management of consultants
