You bring your body, mind, heart and spirit to your work as a Behavioral Health Counselor.
Your compassion is tangible: patients feel it in the hand they hold. Families feel it in your prayers. Colleagues feel it in your support.
You know how to move fast. You know how to stay organized. You know how to have fun.
Youâ™re great at what you do, but you want to be part of something even greater. Because you believe that while individuals can be strong, the right team is invincible.
In this position, you will have the opportunity to provide a wide variety of psychotherapeutic services for common mental and emotional difficulties as well as providing comprehensive Employee Assistance Program (EAP) services to employers, employees, and family members.
SCL Health Medical Group is part of SCL Health, a faith-based, nonprofit healthcare organization that focuses on person-centered care. With locations throughout Colorado, Montana and Wyoming, we offer a wide variety of primary and specialty care services.
Benefits are one of the ways we encourage health for you and your family. Our generous package includes medical, dental and vision coverage. But health is more than a well-working body: it encompasses body, mind and social well-being. To that end, weâ™ve launched a Healthy Living program to address your holistic health. Healthy Living includes financial incentives, digital tools, tobacco cessation, classes, counseling and paid time off. We also offer financial wellness tools and retirement planning.
Together weâ™ll align mission and careers, values and workplace. Weâ™ll encourage joy and take pride in our integrity.
Weâ™ll laugh at each otherâ™s jokes (even the bad ones). Weâ™ll hello and high five. Weâ™ll celebrate milestones and acknowledge the value of spirituality in healing.
Weâ™re proud of what we know, which includes how much there is to learn.
As a Behavioral Health Counselor with us, you need to know how to:
Provide comprehensive intake examinations and mental health assessments, and determine accurate DSM V multi-axial diagnosis based on clinical information.
Provide Mental Health services to individuals, couples, families and groups, using a variety of treatment approaches and tools.
Provide education and/or training services to EAP contracted companies and groups.
Make appropriate referrals for patients needing services outside the scope of BHA/EAP.
We hire people, not resumes. But we also expect excellence, which is why we require:
Masterâ™s Degree in Social Work or related field, required
Current Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LPC) license, required
Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association or the ability to obtain within three (3) months of hire, preferred
At least two (2) years of post-licensure experience, preferred
Your next move.
Now that you know more about being a Behavioral Health Counselor on our team we hope youâ™ll join us. At SCL Health youâ™ll reaffirm every day how much you love this work, and why you were called to it in the first place.
