The Chief Content Officer reports directly to the CEO and oversees all WBUR programming including local news, national programs, podcasting, and CitySpace. The ideal candidate has deep news and digital experience, a sophisticated understanding of the changing media landscape and evolving content platforms, along with an ability to set strategy and help WBUR place its bets. This person must be a proven leader and manager who inspires trust and confidence, and can communicate with clarity and command. The Chief Content Officer will help ensure that WBUR is the most trusted and beloved source of local news in Boston and beyond, distinguished in a competitive media landscape by the quality and ambition of our journalism and our programming. The Chief Content Officer will help identify how we continue to grow our audience and cultivate the loyalty and financial support that is essential to sustaining our journalism at a time of profound technological change.
Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred with more than ten years of related work experience.
