The Consumer Credit team is responsible for leading, developing and implementing strategic initiatives and processes to drive the company credit culture, appetite, and business performance. Leads initiatives, analysis, and ongoing processes to drive credit culture, appetite, and business performance with input from senior leadership within a single function or line of business specific role. Advises and counsels leadership. Directs and coordinates the various activities related to assessing and predicting risk and performance through business analysis and/or modeling. Contributes to development of appropriate strategies that ensure risk is within risk appetite. Analyzes and assists with the approval of programs and policies with a measureable impact on the level of risk taken in credit activities. Acts as a technical expert for senior management on complex issues. Leads implementation of complex and strategic initiatives with moderate risk and complexity. Manages communication and collaboration with business heads, Legal, Audit, and regulators on risk related topics. Manages a team of Associate Managers, Officers and/or Sr Associates or cross-functional teams in accomplishing goals and priorities.

Offshore team development includes driving hiring, training, development and retaining of strong analytical capabilities for the analysts that support the various functional areas of credit risk management.
Driving the discovery of new risk segmentation attributes and recommending value-added and practical solutions for risk management strategy enhancements via sound statistical methods by effectively mining rich and complex data sources. Keeping senior risk management closely informed of any emerging analytical data solutions, both internal or external (consumer or commercial).
Monitor/report various credit, vintage, product, offer, channel, industry, delinquency, loss rate and performance information, driving Acquisitions and/or Portfolio Management strategy decisions. Providing quick and statistically sound diagnostic evaluation of any emerging and unexpected credit or fraud risk.
To be effective in this position, you will need to have a deep understanding of credit from a full lifecycle perspective, a broad and strategic perspective on risk management, and practice in the test and learn discipline for
strategy development, and be fluent in both the key technical tools of credit risk decisioning and sound credit judgment.
Market Skills and Certifications
Post Graduate College Degree
12+ years of credit risk analytics experience
5+ years of team management experience
Strong understanding and willingness to work hands on , using exploratory techniques which can sometimes involve advanced statistics.
Strong project management skills with ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment
Strong ability to develop partnerships and collaborate with other business and functional area
Strong analytical skills including analyzing complex data
Strong analytical skills with ability to turn findings into executable plans to meet business objectives
Ability to identify and evaluate trends, isolate root cause, and provide swift/thorough resolution
4+ years of experience with SAS or SQL, or other data management, reporting and query tools
Knowledge and understanding of consumer and small business loan practices, policies, and procedures

Knowledge and understanding of the key factors impacting credit offerings, including credit risks and regulatory requirements
