The Role Responsibilities
Strategy Standard Chartered Bank has embarked on an ambitious journey to become a data driven bank. This transformation is essential element of overall business strategy and affects all dimensions of the business. McKinsey Global Institute indicate that data driven organizations are 23 times more likely to acquire customers, 6 times as likely to retain those customers, and 19 times as likely to be profitable as a result. Embedding data and data analytics into front office way of working is the most visible element. 77% of bank CEOs named adoption as the most critical element for success of the data analytics journey. We are looking to hire a person with experience as Product Manager or Sales or RM who can lead adoption of data across his colleagues. Business As a Director, Data Commercialization Product Sales, you will need to help senior management to craft a vision for CCIB in data analytics, monitor trends in client needs, work with Front Line to prioritize data analytics use cases and manage data commercialization across CCIB, support Front line in their client discussions on data analytics enablement. You would leverage your Frontline experience to propose and elaviate ideas and insights and you will work with various teams across Client Coverage, Product Management, FM, Channels, Data Scientists, Technology and other partners to deliver impact all the way from needs prioritization and ideation to the value creation and support. You will be required to push the boundaries by bringing in new ideas that will not only take the Banks' data analytics capabilities to the new generation of Treasurers and CFOs but also shape their aspirations. Processes You will have a key role in data analytics transformation, influence change, commercialize capabilities, enable Front Line productivity growth and enhance bank's ability to support client in their data analytics journey. You will drive significant impact and value through Data and Analytics within CCIB Frontline. You will continuously evaluate client and front line needs and related emerging use cases in collaboration with front line.
Key Responsibilities include:
Understand strategic needs of the Frontline and translate the needs into potenatial use cases. Structure and prioritize key business use cases that data ana analytics cab help solve
Work as a partner with RMs, Sales, Bankers and Products to facilitate development of analytical mindset and data literacy that is at the heart of everything data driven banks do day to day. Enable data being widely embraced as an organisational personality trait.
Provide insight to the business partners, clients and data teams of what "state of the art" use cases look like in data and analytics in their areas; help to define the "art of possible". Facilitate discussions with external partners, consultants, technology providers and fintechs.
Drive data commercialization agenda. Bring understanding of client relationship management and sales process, TB/FM/CF products, communication and adoption channels as well as bank management priorities in order to deliver seamless adoption of data analytics use cases and assess impact.
People and Talent You are expected to be a team player. You will engage actively with the front line, sales centers of excellence, product, implementation & client management, legal, compliance and operations teams to create awareness of the new product features and encourage a participative attitude to elicit critical business requirements and ensure overall acceptance of the new process flows and the system functionalities that drive value creation for the bank and clients
Risk Management You take a proactive approach to risk management and on an ongoing basis will be identifying, assessing, monitoring, mitigating risks related to digital and data capabilities and insights Governance You will work with regional and in-country teams to ensure the data capabilities are compliant with any relevant legal and regulatory requirements and risks.

Our Ideal Candidate
Masters degree in business-related subjects
At least 3 years of experience in Product Manager, Sales, Banker or Relationship Manager role.
Deep understanding of products in wholesales bankings, particularly across Trade/Case, Financial Markets and Corporate Finance
Good knowledge of Frontline daily routine in corporate and commercial banking
Strong listening and communication skills
Basic knowledge in mathematics, statistics and computer science.
Minimum of 7-8 years' experience with a proven track record of working in the commercialization or management consulting
Strong business acumen, ability to understand business needs, translate into data analytics use cases and drive adoption and mindset transformation
Excellent interpersonal skills, strong verbal and written communication skills. Capable to deliver well-structured communication and presentation of complicated business concepts
Deep understanding of wholesale banking domain with a profound ability to conceive and transform end-to-end processes.
Team oriented, goals oriented, and flexible with proven track record in collaborating with multiple stakeholders and driving results, specially via influence management
