Program Officer II needed to support MOMENTUM 2A, including supporting work planning; technical and program support to teams and working groups; financial oversight and sub-award management; operations and administration.
MOMENTUM 2A is a five-year USAID funded global award, that will work in tandem with country governments and local nongovernmental organizations to provide targeted technical and capacity development assistance, and contribute to the global technical leadership and policy dialogue on improving measurable outcomes for maternal, reproductive, newborn and child health, and voluntary family planning.
Support the annual workplan development and review process
Support the reporting process coordinating across teams
Supporting monitoring progress on key deliverables and activities outlined in the workplan across teams through participation in quarterly portfolio reviews, review of quarterly reports, team meetings, etc.
Contribute to project documents such as Annual Reports, semi-annual reports, evidence briefs, and other knowledge management products
Take meeting minutes and notes, follow up on actions.
Coordinate closely with technical and program teams to support advancement of key tasks as needed
Provide additional programmatic support for Momentum 2A immunization team, including supporting two technical working groups, team meetings and planning for large technical meetings
Support planning and execution of meetings and activities
Ensure compliance with Jhpiego and JHU operational policies and regulations
Work with the Contracts team to ensure compliance with key requirements, such as EMMPs
Coordinate key regular meetings, including agenda planning and development, and follow-up on key action items, etc.
Support Jhpiego management team on relevant assigned tasks
Minimum qualifications (mandatory):
Advanced degree in public health or related field
5 years’ experience managing international health programs required; 7 years’ experience preferred
Field experience mandatory
Certified in [email protected] (Jhpiego’s internal project management curricula) or PMD Pro (or will be within 60 days of hire)
Preparing high quality reports for donors/funders
Managing partners as part of a consortium
Developing, analyzing, and reviewing budgets
Successfully developed work plans in collaboration with multiple partners
Strong organizational skills
Ability to identify opportunities for improvement and make constructive suggestions for change with strong decision making skills
Excellent facilitation, coordination and team building skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills with diverse groups
A commitment to customer service and to supporting a positive team culture
Ability to travel internationally up to 30% time
Excellent written and oral English language skills
Familiarity with Office 365 products, experience with data analytics plus
