Collaborating with engineers, architects, etc. to determine project specifications
Negotiating contracts with external vendors to reach profitable agreements
Obtaining permits and licenses from appropriate authorities
Determining needed resources (manpower, equipment and materials) from start to finish with attention paid to budgetary limitations.
Plan all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines will be met.
Acquire equipment and materials and monitor stocks to timely handle inadequacies.
Hire contractors and other staff and allocate responsibilities.
Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports
Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues
Use software programs such as, Procore Technologies, smartsheets.
Use online project management tools including Slack and Asana.
Travels to assigned project sites in San Francisco, Marin and San Mateo Counties approx. 30%. All Expenses paid by employer.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Minimum Requirements Are:
Ten Years Of Experience In Construction Industry. Experience Will Include The Following Experience (That May Be Gained Concurrently): Experience In Lead Carpenter; Site Supervisor; And Project Manager Roles.
Certification In Trenching And Excavation
Certification In Operating Class 7 Equipment
Contractors State Of California License Board Certification.
Travels To Assigned Project Sites In San Francisco, Marin And San Mateo Counties Approx. 30% of time. Employer pays travel expenses.
