Essential Job Duties:
The Sustainability Program Coordinator is a part of the NC State University Sustainability office and reports directly to the Sustainability Director. This position will work with other units and departments to both develop and facilitate campus wide sustainability programs that create balanced sustainability solutions as well as integrate sustainability into the classroom and campus culture.
The primary programs this position will focus on include but are not limited to: developing and launching a new Campus as a Classroom program (i.e. Living Lab), furthering our work on Climate Impact/GHG reduction, helping facilitate an Environmental Justice initiative at NC State as well as overseeing sustainability reporting.
Other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree and one year of experience related to the area of assignment; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Must be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with both supervisor and the general public as well as understand verbal and written instructions and other communications regarding work assignments and other matters.
Three years program/project management experience or equivalent education/training.
Previous work in a university or similar setting.
