Key Responsibilities - Strategy:
Supports the head of IPB Operations and other relevant parts of the PB organisation in the definition and execution of the IPB Operations strategy and relevant initiatives balancing both regional and global priorities.
Sets, monitors, and is accountable for Asia IPB Operations business deliverables and performance targets.
Oversees the operations transformation agenda.
Promotes and oversees digitalisation and automation of back office processes implementation.
Key Responsibilities - Management & Control:
Manages the financial budget and planning cycles for Asia IPB Operations. Strong emphasis on maintaining effective cost discipline.
Establishes required management and oversight capabilities to properly execute the IPB Operations strategy.
Sets up the organisation to effectively run a stable and reliable operations platform, ensuring stability and high service quality across Singapore, Hong Kong & India.
Ensures a strong vendor governance function on all the outsourced IT and Operations (IPB) functions in Asia with a strong control framework
Works hand in hand with the COO and other senior stakeholders in Asia to ensure we deliver against our objectives and generate superior results.
Conducts adequate Management communication in Crisis situations.
Defines and ensures effective implementation of relevant strategies within defined Risk Appetite and Tolerance, ensuring that the IPB Operation's strategy is in line with DB's Group risk strategy.
Ensures that the IPB Operations has an effective and adequate control framework, manages risks and oversees controls in respect of risk types which fall within the remit of IPB Operations by way of implementing and maintaining an adequate and effective risk management, including identification, assessment and management (incl. control, monitoring and reporting) of risks.
Ensures the remediation of issues and is accountable for delivery of IPB Operations' remediation actions in Asia.
Supports and contributes to divisional, cross-divisional and global initiatives.
Involves Country Management in the decision-making processes, to the extent the respective decisions have a material impact on the respective country and in line with need to know and further confidentiality / information restriction requirements.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement from both a personal and professional development perspective; build and maintain a departmental structure, operating standards and practices that are responsive and adaptable to evolving business needs.

Acts as an escalation channel for the Group's benefit by ensuring matters are referred to the appropriate function within the Bank (i.e. HR, Compliance, AFC, and Legal).
Your skills and experience
10+ year's proven experience in the banking and finance sector, specifically wealth management.
8+ years of experience in direct people management, with a track record of people development / mentorship.
Strong understanding of Wealth Management products and trade life cycle.
Strong understanding of client onboarding, incl. F2B processing, KYC and AML.
Strong understanding of Regional and European regulations
Familiarity with AVALOQ and a BPO model would be advantageous.
Experience in managing outsourced and offshore operations would be advantageous.
Detailed tax knowledge would be advantageous.
Bachelor degree required, post graduate qualification would be advantageous.
Strong communication, influencing, motivational and negotiation skills with experience working across all levels within an organisation.
Strong change (process and project management experience) would be an advantageous.
Mature, logical, analytical and experience in resolving team productivity issues in efficient ways.
