You bring your body, mind, heart and spirit to your work as an Ambulatory Care Tech. This is an entry level position and pay will reflect as such.
You are able to work all of the following shifts: 5:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.; 6:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Will vary per day based on the needs of the department. We are unable to work around a school schedule for this position. This position will require the ability to work at least 48 hours in a 4 week period.

As an Ambulatory Care Tech you need to know how to:
Adapt to quickly changing dynamic situations calmly and effectively
Obtain blood specimens as assigned and labels all specimens and reconfirms the identification on the sample using the patientâ™s armband
Assist patients with basic needs, comfort and safety, assist with admission and orientation of patient to department
Obtain a brief overview of patient history and monitors presenting vital signs
Assist with preparation of the surgical patient by doing skin preps, applying DVT devices as ordered, and facilitating the flow of patients through the procedural process
Transcribe physician orders and completes order entry
Perform Electrocardiograms including equipment prep, patient instruction and prep and performs procedure as directed

High School Diploma or equivalent
Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association or the ability to obtain within three (3) months of hire
Prior healthcare experience to include phlebotomy
