The Innovative Genomics Institute (IGI) is a non-profit, academic research organization formed through the partnership of UC Berkeley andUC San Francisco located on the UC Berkeley campus. Manage daily operations of COVID-19 campus testing site, ensuring that the site is adequately prepared for and accessible to campus members seeking testing.
May be responsible for adding new kiosk locations around campus and dramatically increase testing throughput, as needed.
Coordinate with facilities, IT, supply chain and safety to follow established processes, resolve problems, and identify opportunities for improvement.
Responsible for workflow optimization, process improvements and collecting and maintaining metrics and reporting to campus management.
Provide timely, routine reporting on a variety of items, including inventory of personal protective equipment and other supplies, non-clinical staffing, and other quantitative or qualitative data, as directed.
Manage all staffing, hiring and workforce scheduling for the kiosks, including overseeing EH&S training, HIPAA training and task training.
Supervise site managers at multiple campus sites and directly communicate, coordinate and collaborate with diagnostic testing facility.
Supervise and manage the contact tracing team and facilitate coordination with medical staff and the diagnostic lab.
Serves as liaison with academic departments to ensure effective project design and delivery.
Advanced knowledge of and experience in project management.
Advanced financial, budgeting and cost management skills, including interacting with and synthesizing widely divergent viewpoints and interests.
Advanced knowledge of or ability to quickly learn the organization, including its vision, mission, goals, achievements, infrastructure and short and long range strategic capital projects plans.
Advanced organizational skills including skill in consistently and effectively meeting budget and time deadlines.
Advanced skills to lead, direct and manage personnel including selection, training, evaluating and, as required, taking corrective action.
Advanced written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, including skill to work effectively with multiple constituencies to advance organizational objectives.
Experience in a research or clinical setting.
Expert skill in promoting, advancing and implementing programs within area of expertise.
Advanced knowledge of the organization, including its infrastructure, rules, regulations, policies and short and long range strategic plans.
Expert analytical, organizational, project management and problem recognition / avoidance / resolution skills.
Bachelor's degree and / or equivalent experience / training in biology, chemistry, public health or related field.
Salary & Benefits
This is an exempt, monthly paid position. Annual salary is commensurate with experience.
