The Sr. Research Data Analyst will be primarily responsible for coordination and analysis of data from a large implementation research project focused on HIV among key populations in 10 districts across India. The data includes cross-sectional surveys recruited using respondent-driven sampling (RDS) and process data collected from service delivery venues. The position will primarily require management and analysis of data collected from these different sources. However, at times there will be additional work related to project management including assistance with protocol/survey development, IRB progress reports and study communications. Periodically there may be data management/analyses related to other efforts in India.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities
Manage all study databases
Oversee quality control procedures for data collection/analysis
Provide weekly/monthly updates to study sites with summaries of data as well as other metrics of quality control
Conduct statistical analyses of data collected from these projects to support project investigators
Coordinate and contribute to reports with guidance from project investigators
Assist with study protocol and survey development
Organize and manage project materials
Assist with questionnaire development and analysis of pilot data
Assist with routine communications with multiple IRBs
Communicate as needed with India-based M&E staff to assist the process of data gathering from field activities and data cleaning
Collaborate regularly with Baltimore-based team to set priorities and share updates on data analysis and results
Assist with ad hoc data analysis and management tasks on other projects as guided by the JHU technical leads
Master’s degree in epidemiology or biostatistics
2-3 years of experience in statistical analysis/data management
Ability to work on multiple tasks and deliver on short deadlines
Ability to exercise independent judgment
Effective communication and ability to foster a positive and collaborative work environment
Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Experience with respondent-driven sampling (RDS) data analysis

Knowledge of a statistical package (R and STATA preferred)
