The Associate Director, Physician Marketing supports the mission of the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute by broadening awareness of the impact of Dana-Farber's world-class cancer care, research and innovation among local, regional, national and international physicians. This team member will play a central role in creation, activation and management of all programs and activities designed to grow reputation of and referrals to the Institute among physicians and other professional influencers.
This position will work in close collaboration with the Senior Director of Marketing and Vice President of Marketing and collaborate across the Institute with teams in communications, business development, clinical operations, key clinicians and researchers and external vendors, partners and others as necessary.
Manage marketing, branding and advertising functions to physicians on behalf of Dana-Farber.
Plan and execute proactive physician referral programs with emphasis on high priority disease states.
Plan and implement national physician reputation program focused on USNWR ranking.
Direct and manage regional physician liaison program to generate referrals and satisfy service needs of referring physicians.
Manage/lead marketing staff for successful development and implementation of strategic plans/ opportunities for physicians and medical professionals in alignment with goals
Work with digital marketing counterpart to evaluate and recommend an upgraded marketing automation system to enable more robust, end-to-end targeting, tracking and greater engagement.
Create and implement an ongoing content plan in support of reputation building and referrals to the Institute and satellites.
Assist in the planning and opening of future DFCI satellite locations.
Create, promote and conduct CME programs, Grand Rounds, and other physician outreach events.
Support Dana-Farber presence at high profile oncology conferences and events.
Work in collaboration with business partners to support growth initiatives.
Generate reports on results, productivity and, when possible, ROI
Manages a team including Physician Liaisons (2); Senior Marketing Specialist (1); and Marketing Specialist (1) positions
Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, healthcare administration or related field; Master's degree preferred.
10 years' experience in marketing within a healthcare organization.
Extensive experience building brands and marketing to physicians.
Additional experience in academic medicine, physician relations, brand management and/or oncology marketing preferred.Ability to work collaboratively with clinicians, researchers, and industry executives.
