Scope of Role
This role in the Digital Channels & Data team of CCIB based in Singapore is primarily responsible to drive forward our strategic and innovative Third-Party Platforms and Partnerships agenda across the various business and segment lines. The candidate will work closely with various internal and external stakeholders of the bank at senior level and will represent SCB in external banking forums, consortiums, senior client engagement and regulator interactions as needed. As the owner of the overall Platform governance and client journey via external platforms, this role has both strategic and execution responsibilities that are key to create value add services for clients and enabling new business models for the bank
The Role Responsibilities & Ideal Candidate
Establish sustained collaboration and engagement with partners that generate business value, Identify common interests and mutually beneficial opportunities.
In close collaboration with the various internal stakeholders demonstrate leadership from the Digital platforms team to formulate partnership strategy for future and exponential business growth.
Solicit partnerships with win-win proposition to form long term strategic alliance of aligned aspirations and commercial interest.
40% of this role will need to orchestra and lead the third party platform initiatives with different stakeholders in the bank and ensure the end-to-end flow is customer centric. This role needs a strong market sense of how platforms work in the market and industry, deep knowledge of the end-to-end flow, able to digitize the traditional banking products into platform journey of the client with reasonable technical knowhow and sensitive on numbers.
Member of the Digital Platforms team to engage, negotiate, onboard and integrate third party platforms
Build ecosystems to transform the operating model improving overall customer experience in products and services delivery - role requires strong leadership in identifying trends and drive across all areas - platform business case, platform solution, platform onboarding and platform integration.
Bring ideas from concept to life by working with venture capital firm, FinTech, clients, Technology team and internal functions. Figure out a way to communicate, convince the value of partnership with SCB and drive agenda over long sales cycles
The role involves close working and interactions with competitors, fintech partners , driving consensus, agree on trade offs and taking risks and requires the highest levels of conduct, integrity and shining example of bank value behaviours.
Manage stakeholders and drive bank agenda in external partnership. Be comfortable to work with ambiguity, set new process and operating models as new models emerge and drive Digital Platforms voice in the various conversations across the markets, segments and business lines.
Work closely with SC Ventures group to drive the platform agenda and POC framework
Have a direct influence in the development of a state-of-the-art next Gen system based on the platform trends
Identify external FinTech companies for potential partnership and equity ownership
Commercialize and package new and existing capabilities to drive revenue and help the go to market teams.

Identify key risks related to platform initiatives and proactively manage those risks by working with appropriate control functions
Be familiar with financial crime, legal structures, platform models , IP and confidential negotiations, compliance, credit and operation risks related to platform business models
Embed the Group's values and code of conduct and develop a robust culture to ensure that adherence with the highest standards of ethics, and compliance with relevant policies, processes and regulations
Ensure that Risk Management matters that are brought to the job holder's attention are subject to direct remedial action and/or ensure adequate escalation to Regional / Country Banking Heads and Group/governance committees, as appropriate
Responsible for assessing the effectiveness of the Group's arrangements to deliver effective governance, oversight and controls in the business and, if necessary, oversee changes in these areas
Awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework, in which the Group operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role.
Responsible for delivering 'effective governance'; capability to challenge fellow executives effectively; and willingness to work with any local regulators in an open and cooperative manner.
