HBS seeks a dedicated, enterprising, and collaborative individual to serve as a Research Associate for a nine-month appointment during the 2020-2021 academic year, and possibly further. The RA will work closely with a faculty member in the General Management unit and partnering faculty, to re-structure the FIELD Global Immersion (FGI) first-year MBA course.
The successful candidate will work on the development and delivery of new cases, notes, related materials, and global partnerships for the upcoming academic year. This is a terrific opportunity for those interested in global intelligence, teaming, and strategy, while helping to prepare our MBA students for their future roles as global leaders.
The RA will report directly to faculty supervisor and administrative manager in the Research Staff Services office. The ideal candidate will be comfortable in an environment that requires a high level of independence, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to use discretionary judgment.
Under the general direction of the faculty, the RA will research and develop course content, act as project manager to manage the timeline of deliverables throughout the year, serve as a thought partner with the faculty, and help to develop new case studies and other teaching materials.
Participate in course design discussions in which the working group will assess the value and fit of a set of preliminary materials that will serve as the starting point for the course. These discussions will serve as an incubator for new cases and course materials to be developed throughout the year.
Create new cases and course materials that expand and improve upon existing materials. Given their research and writing expertise, the RA will play a unique role on the working team as both creator/writer but also as project coordinator.
