Cello Health US is seeking an experienced Business Technology/IT Director to manage the technology needs of its growing US advisory service businesses as they relate to the optimization and security of internal operations; this includes necessary process- and IT-related improvements and upgrade initiatives for our rapidly growing professional services firm. The position will be based in Yardley, PA and the emphasis for this role is on:
systematic evaluation of the growing technology needs of the Cello Health US businesses (which provide services to biopharmaceutical clients)
development and execution of defined action plans to enhance the technical infrastructure of the business in line with key strategic organizational initiatives
selection and utilization of the appropriate technology solutions to enhance critical internal processes, efficiencies, and collaboration, initially in one larger business unit but with a view to optimal consistency and connectivity across business units in the US with common, seamless platforms (and with our parallel organization in Europe)
increasing user satisfaction, system-enabled collaboration, and wider real-time information access
generally maintaining technology systems and managing the IT department, including budgeting and forecasting for the department
Work with US Leadership team and senior management teams in local business units to prioritize key internal improvement initiatives dependent on technology, and to execute IT components of specified workstreams necessary to create business efficiencies. Initial focus on the following key workstreams:
Email, internal collaboration and office productivity with Office 365
Project tracking / project management solutions
Finance & accounting systems
Potentially, new sales tracking and reporting and HR information systems
Oversee IT function and provision of end-user services, including help desk and technical support services; manage and be responsible for staffing and provision of these services in the Yardley, PA operation, while ensuring other business units have appropriate local support.
Effectively oversee & utilize external vendors/suppliers when necessary to assist in the successful implementation of new systems or maintain systems
Develop training programs and other user engagement materials to drive successful adoption of new processes and new technologies.
Ensure all IT and data security related policies and procedures are up to date, compliant with any regulatory or client contractual obligations, and that the organization understands and adheres to these policies
Ensure business continuity plans are optimal and support uninterrupted provision of client services at all times
Share Best practices across and from outside the organization / industry / domain and provide recommendations for implementing them.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and/or qualifications in IT
5-10 years of experience working in a professional services or advisory firm; strategic and systems-thinking mentality
Inter-personal skills to enable efficient working across different client-facing and business support functions with a “can do” hands-on attitude to change initiatives facilitated by this role
Excellent communicator, both orally and written.
Strong organizational and analytic skills
Able to develop and implement business solutions from base of strong and appropriate technical skills and knowledge of a range of internal business automation systems.
First-hand experience with the selection & implementation of new technology tools is preferred, including Office 365.
